H. O. P. E
Well… I just wanna share here from what I’ve got during the passover celebration last year :D (I'm trying to share this in english).
Hmmm…. Early in the morning I left home going to the church. I was singing there. The message was preached by Pastor Elia Makaraung. Talking about “What Does PASSOVER mean to you? Or “What is the meaning of passover for you?” yeahhh something like that.
1 Peter 1 : 3 – 4 (the message Bible version)
What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have Him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven--and the future starts now!
YES! It’s Absolutely true! Through His Risen, Jesus brings us to a life which full of HOPE.
What’s your current situation right now? Please check out this 3 characteristic below to find out are you still have HOPE in your life?
1. People who have HOPE in their life keep his heart established (steadfast) and not be afraid to cope the complication of life
Hebrew 6 : 19 “This [hope] we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the [Presence] behind the veil” (New King James version)
When a boat is anchored in heavy wind and current conditions the boat can be pushed side to side.
A sea anchor will reduce this effect by catching the current thus making the boat to be anchored in line and remain straight.“This [hope] we have as an anchor of the soul…….”
It’s same with the ilustration above. If we still have HOPE in JESUS, it will help us to keep being in His Line and remain straight no matter what is our situation right now.
2. Always Rejoice
Hebrew 15 : 13 … “May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through
your faith in Him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy
Spirit. (New King James version)
Proverb 17 : 22 “A merry heart does good, [like] medicine, But a broken spirit dries
the bones. (New King James version)
3. Not being a selfish person. Care for people because Jesus always care for all the people around the world. Have a Meaningful life. Love all the people just like Jesus loves us
The second Service……
The message was preached by Pastor Lukas Tahir. Talking about “How people respond the passover?”
There are 3 types of people in giving respond to the Risen of Jesus. Which type are you ???
1.People who respond it with a GREAT JOY.
Matthew 28:1-10 … Now after the Sabbath, as the first [day] of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead [men].
But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. "He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. "And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you." So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go [and] tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me." (New King James version)
2. People who deny the risen of Jesus
Matthew 28:11-15 … Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened. When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, saying, "Tell them, `His disciples came at night and stole Him [away] while we slept.' "And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will appease him and make you secure." So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
2. People who respond it with a GREAT JOY. But not only rejoice but TAKE AN ACTION to share the gospel to all the people around the world that JESUS IS RISEN. For we can only see and know that God always be with us when we step out from our comfort zone in faith.
Matthew 28:16-20 … Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age." Amen.
So…. Which one is more describe about you?
Rome 6 : 6 “knowing this, that our old man was crucified with [Him], that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For He who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For [the death] that He died, He died to sin once for all; but [the life] that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness to God.” (New King James version)
The third service….
I was there leading as a Worship Leader. The message was preached by Pastor Irwan S. Remind us that the Salvation is not Free but it’s sooooooooo Expensive.
1 Peter 1 : 18 –19:
knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, [like] silver or gold, from your aimless conduct [received] by tradition from your fathers, but with the PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. (New King James version)
God bless us abundantly
